Collingwood Football Club List Changes - 2011/2012
Since the Grand Final loss to Geelong on October 1, Collingwood has made 12 changes to its senior and rookie lists.
The club delisted and then redrafted 2010 draftees Trent Stubbs and Daniel Farmer (moving from the senior list to the rookie list) meaning there are 10 new faces eligible to pull on the black and white next year.
The two final selections in the Rookie Draft, Caolan Mooney and Michael Hartley, have been involved in Collingwood’s development program since 2010 and 2008 respectively. Both are products of the Magpies innovative approach to recruiting during a period of compromised drafts.
Two members of the 22-man Grand Final team (Leigh Brown and Leon Davis) have departed, while only two other players – John McCarthy (eight games) and Brad Dick (three games) – leave with senior experience.
All four players recruited by the club in last year’s Rookie Draft have been delisted, as has Scott Reed who leaves after three years at the club. Tom Hunter retired at the start of his second year on the rookie list due to a serious neck injury.
