2007 season
The veteran Magpie notched his 150th AFL game in round nine against Brisbane in Brisbane, but otherwise it was a frustrating season for the tough midfielder. Was suspended for the first six matches following an incident from the 2006 elimination final, and although he played seven consecutive games from round seven onwards, an existing Achilles injury resurfaced and he was unable to break back into the senior line-up after round 13. Valiantly put himself back into the selection picture with some excellent performances for Williamstown late in the season, while two strong midfield performances in round 10 and 11 for the Magpies suggested he still has plenty to offer at the elite level.

Career
One of the hardest working and fittest players at the club, Holland crossed to Collingwood in 2001 after three seasons and 36 games with the Dockers, and after enhancing his reputation as a dangerous goal sneak with 28 goals in 21 games in his first season in black and white, he started 2002 on fire with three goals in the opening round and then eight against the Eagles in round two. He wasn't able to recapture that form and managed 14 games for the season, but by the end of 2003 had developed his game and become a forward capable of going into the middle, and played in the 2003 Grand Final. Holland enjoyed his best season in 2005, having emerged as a consistent, accountable midfielder, he played every game and averaged 22 possessions while taking on and beating some of the game's best on-ballers. A strong start to 2006 was interrupted by a mid-season Achilles injury, before getting back to his best with some strong performances late in the season. Will be keen to bounce back after a disappointing 2007 season marred by suspension and ongoing Achilles problems, the same year he notched his 150th league game.
