A stalwart of the Crows across two decades, Hart played over 300 games for the Adelaide and was a key figure in their back-to-back premierships in 1997 and 1998. He won two club Best and Fairest awards and was a four-time All Australian with his first selection coming in his debut season (1992), and his last a decade later (2002). After he left the Crows, he spent a season with Norwood in the SANFL where he was a member of their Grand Final team.

Hart was on Adelaide’s coaching staff for the past four years and is now responsible for Collingwood's defence under first-year senior coach Nathan Buckley.
