As of December 2012, Collingwood leads the AFL with 214,000 Facebook fans and 38,000 Twitter followers as well as a rapidly growing fan base of more than 8,000 on Instagram. The club’s YouTube channel boasts over 5,000 subscribers and has logged more than 3,235,000 views on its videos over the past three years.

Several Collingwood players and coaches are also active users of Twitter. Nathan Buckley (@ncb_cfc), Dane Swan (@swandane), Scott Pendlebury (@SP_10), Harry O’Brien (@harry_o) and Dale Thomas (@DT_13) are all regular tweeters, providing frequent snapshots of their lives.
