Media policy
The Collingwood Football Club is intent on working collaboratively, consistently and efficiently with the media throughout each year to ensure that Collingwood supporters are frequently exposed to and able to access accurate, interesting and relevant club-related content across as many forms of traditional and emerging media as possible.

AFL media accreditation & press release distribution list
The AFL manages official league media accreditation and the national media distribution list. All media accreditation and press release distribution enquiries should be directed to the AFL. Go to the bottom of this page to access the Collingwood press release archive.  

Use of club intellectual property (IP), images and footage
The AFL owns all AFL logos, club logos and other intellectual property associated with the AFL competition. It also has intellectual property rights that ensure the appropriate use of AFL images. To find out more about the AFL’s prospective licensee information, CLICK HERE. The club is not at liberty to distribute official AFL-licensed images or footage for editorial or commercial purposes. All image/footage requests must go through the AFL’s brand approvals process - http://www.aflbrandapprovals.com.au/.

VFL Magpies media
The Collingwood Football Club media department manages all media-related enquiries regarding the club’s Victoria Football League. Please use the contact details above to submit all requests. 

Collingwood online
Collingwood’s online digital media properties are managed by the club’s digital media department. collingwoodfc.com.au is the official website of the Collingwood Football Club and operates as a service to members and supporters. The site is part of the AFL Network, which Telstra BigPond owns the rights to operate. The current internet rights agreement between the AFL and Telstra runs from 2007-2011. Within collingwoodfc.com.au sits the club’s official online video platform – CTV . CTV content is also available via YouTube – http://youtube.com/collingwoodCTV. Magpie Radio is the club’s official streaming and podcasting for club audio, including the popular PieCast program. Collingwood has a strong online social media presence, including its official Facebook (http://facebook.com/collingwoodfc)  and Twitter (http://twitter.com/collingwood_fc) accounts.

Requests from school and university students
Due to the media demands placed on the players and coaching staff on a day-to-day basis, the club is unable to accommodate requests for face-to-face or phone interviews with players and coaches for the purposes of school and university study and/or assignments. The club will endeavour to accommodate some study-related interview requests made by email. Students should email media@collingwoodfc.com.au to submit their requests.
