To help celebrate the contribution of Andrew Krakouer in his three years at Collingwood, collingwoodfc.com.au has published a photo gallery that encapsulates the essence of one of the club's most exciting players.

A fresh-faced Krakouer is pictured during his 102-game career at Punt Road.

After starring for Swan Districts in the WAFL Grand Final of 2010, the Magpies moved quickly to gain the signature of the man who ex-Richmond coach Danny Frawley once said would "win the Brownlow Medal if football was played in a phonebox", such is his ability to use the ball in heavy traffic.

Krakouer made an immediate impression in the NAB Cup alongside fellow off-season (re)acquisition Chris Tarrant.

KRAKOUERRRRRRR!! The Krak takes the Mark of the Year of 2011 against the Crows at Etihad Stadium in round nine.

On the cusp of footballing immortality...Krakouer drifts across the pack to mark over Tom Lonergan and kick his third goal midway through the second quarter of the 2011 Grand Final. His goal put Collingwood in front by 16 points.

A knee reconstruction during a VFL practice match against Geelong derailed his season but a diligent approach to his rehabilitation meant that Krakouer was able to rejoin the senior action against Essendon in round 23. His teammates knew how much his return meant to him and flocked to him after scoring a third quarter goal.

Always an inspiring presence to his teammates.

Thanks for all the magical memories you've given us, Krak. A favourite of the Magpie Army forever.
