Collingwoodfc.com.au has published a wrap of Thursday's trade action as compiled by AFL Media's Peter Ryan, Nathan Schmook and Ashley Browne.

The West Coast Eagles are discussing a swap of draft picks with Collingwood that would aid the club's push to land Elliot Yeo from the Brisbane Lions.

AFL Media understands this would see the Eagles part with their first round pick (No.6 overall) in exchange for the Magpies' compensation pick for Dale Thomas (expected to be No.11 overall) and pick No.27.

The Eagles would then be expected to trade selection No.27 for Yeo, holding off Fremantle, which has remained interested in the 20-year-old.

It is understood the Eagles see little difference between picks No.6 and No.11. Collingwood, however, clearly has some motivation to push up the draft order.

Eagles list manager Craig Vozzo told Trade Radio good progress had been made on Thursday over Yeo's future.

The Magpies were in talks with Greater Western Sydney on Thursday to see if a trade could be arranged that would land Heath Shaw at the Giants, the club he nominated on Monday night as his preferred destination.

The sticking point remains whether a straight swap between Shaw and Taylor Adams is enough or whether an exchange of late picks is needed to sweeten the deal.

Collingwood has a few other irons in the fire with Sydney Swans Tony Armstrong and Jesse White expected to land at the club in due course.
