Collingwood forward Travis Cloke’s six-goal effort against the Western Bulldogs saw him adjudged the side’s best on ground in the latest round of voting for the AFLCA’s Champion Player of the Year award.

While Bulldogs players dominated voting following their upset eight-point victory over the Magpies, Cloke received recognition for his near match-winning display, receiving seven votes from competing coaches Nathan Buckley and Brendan McCartney.

Cloke continued his recent upturn in form with a dominant performance at Etihad Stadium, taking nine marks, including seven inside 50 as the two-time All-Australian played arguably his most outstanding game of the season to date.

Fellow forward Jamie Elliott was Collingwood’s only other representative in voting, receiving three following his four-goal outing, which saw him climb to 10th in the Coleman Medal race with 28 majors for the season.
