The New York Magpies are an amateur Australian Football Club dedicated to growing football and the Magpie brand in New York and across the USA.

Established in 1998, the New York Magpies are the largest Aussie Rules club in America and their continued success, both on and off the field, has made them the premier organisation within the USAFL.

The Magpies defeated Orange County 2.4 (16) to 2.1 (13) in a hotly contested Division One Final in Dublin, Ohio, on 12 October.

In the 17th edition of the USAFL National Championships, New York bagged the first goal of the match in the opening minute but soon found itself trailing by a kick (12 to 18) at the main break.

Fortunately for the Black and White, they regained lead during the final quarter, holding on to win a three-point thriller.

On their way to finals glory, Magpies overcame namesakes the Dallas Magpies (31 to 10), the Golden Gate Roos (61 to 1) and the Calgary Kangaroos (29 to 17).

New York was a member of Pool B, while Orange County was pitted against the Austin Crows, Denver Bulldogs and Minnesota Freeze in Pool A.

The Magpies previously took home the USAFL National Grand Final in 2010.
