Voting for the Magpie Army Player of the Year Award is underway for 2015.

Collingwood Media looks at the performances of some of the players who were among the best in Friday night’s victory over the old enemy at the MCG.

Collingwood’s top performers

10. Scott Pendlebury
Statistics: 17 kicks, 15 handballs, 32 disposals, 5 clearances, 90.6% disposal efficiency.
Pendlebury was awarded the Richard Pratt medal for the best player on the ground in Friday night’s clash. The skipper’s use of the ball was phenomenal as he operated at just over 90 per cent efficiency. He was also given the task of spending time in the forward line, with his height and athleticism proving another threat to the Carlton defence. The move proved successful, with Pendlebury kicking two goals and directly assisting four others.

13. Taylor Adams
Statistics: 14 kicks, 13 handballs, 27 disposals, 5 clearances, 3 inside 50s.
Premiership skipper Nick Maxwell used his weekly post on Monday’s with Maxy to name Adam’s as his best performer in the win over the Blues. The 21-year-old collected 27 disposals as he continues to settle into the Collingwood midfield in his second year at the club. Five of these disposals were clearances and one was an impressive second quarter goal.

43. Adam Oxley
Statistics: 21 kicks, 5 handballs, 26 disposals, 11 marks, 9 inside 50s.
Oxley once again displayed the rapid improvement which has cemented his place in the senior side. His presence in the middle of the ground on Friday night was elite as he was consistently used as an avenue towards attack. Nine of his career-high 11 marks were taken in the middle of the ground and he sent the ball inside 50 nine times - more than anyone else on the field.

25. Jack Crisp

Statistics: 15 kicks, 11 handballs, 26 disposals, 8 tackles, 5 inside 50s, 5 clearances.
Crisp’s responsibilities on Friday night included standing alongside Carlton champion Chris Judd for large chunks of the game. When released, Crisp was able to hurt the Blues offensively through his role in the midfield. His disposal tally of 26 was a career-high and he also recorded five clearances and five inside 50s. Collingwood’s tackling pressure on Friday was typified by Crisp. He had eight and restricted Judd to just 22 disposals.
