VFL: Round 16 in 60 seconds Get a snapshot of the VFL Magpies' 32-point loss to Williamstown in 60 seconds with Collingwood Media.

The VFL Magpies failed to complete an upset victory over ladder-leaders Williamstown at Burbank Oval on Sunday. 

Despite leading for much of the day, the Magpies couldn't maintain the home side's momentum in the final term as the Seagulls kicked seven final-quarter goals. 

Jonathon Marsh was named Collingwood's best player for a role in defence which comprised of a number of impressive intercept marks. 

Ben Reid and Ryan Pendlebury kicked impressive goals in a match which heavily advantaged the team kicking with a strong wind.

*Ned McKeown is Collingwood's nominated 23rd man. The 23rd player rule is designed to enable clubs to promote young talent and provide them with a taste of VFL football to aid their development.

The Blairs will be joined by a host of big name Magpies, including Ben Reid, Jesse White, Clinton Young and Ben Sinclair, as well as in form youngsters Matthew Scharenberg and Jonathon Marsh.

Sunday’s match will prove a great test of how far Dale Tapping’s outfit has come, for Williamstown sits on top of the VFL ladder with 10 wins and three losses to its name.

The Magpies, on the other hand, are just one game behind in fifth place.

All supporters are encouraged to head along to Burbank Oval to watch the Sunday’s match.

Senior coach Nathan Buckley will be speaking at Williamstown’s President’s Luncheon at 12pm, while a jumping castle, a petting zoo and handball targets will be available for children.

Burbank Oval is located at 1 Morris Street Williamstown. An adult ticket costs $10, while kids aged under 12 enter for free.
