Trade complete: Freeman joins Saints

Trade Daily: Pies-Saints deal official Join Sarah Allen for the latest trade news in the seventh episode of Collingwood Media's new show, Trade Daily.
Nathan Freeman has been traded to St Kilda after two years at Collingwood.

Collingwood has received a future second round draft pick from St Kilda in exchange for young midfielder Nathan Freeman on day seven of the AFL Trade Period.

In addition to St Kilda’s second round pick in the 2016 National Draft, Collingwood improved its position in the fourth round of this year’s draft, swapping pick No. 68 for the Saints’ pick No. 63.

Freeman notified the club of his wish to seek a fresh start after spending two years at the Holden Centre. The midfielder has battled hamstring injuries since being secured with pick 10 of the 2013 Draft and is yet to play an AFL match.

“While it’s disappointing to see a player leave so early in their time at the club, we wish Nathan all the best in his move to St Kilda,” Director of Football Neil Balme said.
