Jarrod Witts has been traded to the Gold Coast Suns for picks 44 and 62 in the 2016 National Draft.

The ruckman, who played 40 games for Collingwood between 2013 and 2016, joins the Suns after falling behind Brodie Grundy as Collingwood’s first-choice ruckman this season.

Witts played in round one against Sydney, before a hand injury forced him out of the team.

He remained a valuable contributor throughout the season as a key member of the club's VFL campaign.

Originally from New South Wales, the 209cm ruck will now relocate to Queensland to play under former Collingwood director of football and current Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade.
