Ben Reid will miss 3-4 weeks after sustaining a quad injury against Greater Western Sydney.

Collingwood will be without Ben Reid for the next 3-4 weeks after he sustained a quad injury during Saturday’s loss to Greater Western Sydney.

“Ben had a scan today after coming off the ground late in the game,” General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh told Collingwood Media.

“Subsequently, the scans have shown he has injured his quad, and he is likely to miss 3-4 weeks.”

Reid sat out the Magpies’ win over Geelong in round six, owing to the team’s short turnaround between games.

He played 17 games in 2016 after his previous two campaigns were limited by soft tissue injuries.

Collingwood Media’s Blackmores Injury Update will be available online on Tuesday.
