Midfielder Taylor Adams has been cited by the Match Review Panel for engaging in rough conduct with Adelaide’s Rory Laird on Sunday afternoon.

Adams can accept a $1000 fine for his actions, which saw him clash with Laird in the third quarter at the MCG.

The MRP deemed the incident to be “careless” with low impact to the head. It was worthy of a $1500 fine, however Adams’ good record means he can accept an early plea.

Sunday’s draw against the Crows was an eventful one for Adams.

With the absence of Scott Pendlebury leading to an increased role as a leader, he burst out of the blocks in the first half.

The 23-year-old had kicked three goals from his 15 touches at the main break, before finishing the game with 34 disposals.

It’s the first time he has been reported since a clash with Port Adelaide’s Justin Westhoff in round 15, 2015.
