The VFL Magpies have produced a dominant performance at Victoria Park, defeating the North Ballarat Roosters by 87 points on Sunday afternoon.
Led by five goals from VFL-listed midfielder Gus Borthwick, the home side breezed past the bottom-placed Roosters to keep their finals hopes alive.
The home side set up the victory early in the day, after kicking eight goals to none in the opening 30 minutes of play.
Forward Jesse White kicked the first two majors of the day, while his attacking counterparts Jack Blair, Jordan Kelly and Lachlan Keeffe all chipped in with goals of their own.
South Australian Tim Broomhead will put his hand up for senior selection after dominating in the middle and kicking three goals.
Midfielder Brayden Sier made a successful return from injury, and impressed with plenty of touches in Collingwood’s engine room.
Defenders Matt Smith, Josh Smith and Jackson Ramsay starred in the back half.
Depending on other VFL results later today, the VFL Magpies could be in the top eight come Monday.
