Ever dreamt of pulling on the Black and White stripes?

Well, with Collingwood’s new VFLW program, here’s your chance!

Applications are now open and we invite you to come and join our Magpie family.

The club will be holding a testing day on the 11th November in a bid to find the next crop of Collingwood women’s players.

Collingwood’s AFLW Operations Manager Mathew James said the club was excited to welcome new talent to the Holden Centre.

“We’ll be looking at a multitude of players, cross-code rookies, and then we’ll fill up our list,” James told Collingwood Media.

“We’ll be able to tie in both programs (VFLW and AFLW) and then look at their development long-term.

“We’re looking forward to getting some new girls in and being able to give them the opportunity.”

To be eligible all players must be 17 years of age prior to 1 January 2018.

Those who have not participated in an AFL program or been involved in a high performance AFL program (i.e. State Academy or TAC Cup program) in the three years up to 1st April 2018 are eligible to apply as a cross code rookie.
