Jordan De Goey has received six votes in the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year award after his heroics in Collingwood's narrow win over the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Sunday.

De Goey ended the game with 20 disposals, seven marks and five goals, and he played a key role in the thrilling finish.

He was given six votes by the coaches, while Tom Phillips and Josh Thomas were the other Magpies players to finish among the votes.

Lions midfielder Dayne Zorko was the coaches' unanimous choice for best on ground honours. 

Steele Sidebottom didn't poll a vote against the Lions but is fifth on the overall leaderboard.
