In the days after each of the Magpies' VFL games, Collingwood Media will take a look at some of the eye-catching performers, with a focus on the players who were emergencies for the AFL team and youngsters on the rise. Here's our look at the VFL Pies' win over Coburg at Piranha Park on Saturday...

Rupert Wills
Was named among Collingwood's best players after winning a heap of the ball in the midfield. Continues to favour disposing of the ball by hand, as he had just eight kicks in his 32 disposals. Has now played five VFL games this season and has averaged 25 disposals per match.

Stats summary: 32 disposals (78% efficiency), six clearances, eight tackles, one goal

Brayden Sier
Was a dominant performer in the midfield, finishing with 35 disposals, just 10 of which were kicks. Must be getting close to making his AFL debut.

Stats summary: 35 disposals (69% efficiency), eight clearances, six tackles, six inside-50s

Brody Mihocek
Among the emergencies for the AFL clash with St Kilda, Mihocek was an impressive performer in the VFL win over Coburg, winning plenty of the ball and showing some great touch up forward. If not for some wonky kicking for goal (he finished with 1.3), he might well have been the best player on the ground.

Stats summary: 21 disposals (67% efficiency), nine marks, four tackles, one goal

Callum Brown
Another of the emergencies for the AFL game against St Kilda, Brown ended up making his first appearance for the season in the VFL in the win over Coburg. He didn't have a huge influence on the game, but still managed to win his share of the ball, his 22 touches including 16 handballs.

Josh Daicos
Also an emergency for the AFL clash with the Saints, Daicos was a key player in the VFL Pies' solid victory. He won a stack of the ball through the midfield, but was unable to finish his work on the scoreboard, finishing with two behinds.

Stats summary: 29 disposals (66% efficiency), six marks, five tackles

Levi Greenwood
In his third VFL match of the season, Greenwood played down back, winning his share of the ball and using it with precision. He also did plenty of the hard stuff, laying eight tackles.

Stats summary: 15 disposals (80% efficiency), eight marks, eight tackles
