Collingwood forward Jamie Elliott ended Sunday’s VFL win on the bench after re-injuring his left hamstring.

Elliott left the field during time-on in the final term of the Magpies’ eight-point win over North Melbourne at Werribee’s Avalon Airport Oval.

“Unfortunately, Jamie was unable to finish the game after re-injuring his left hamstring late in Sunday’s VFL match,” General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh told Collingwood Media.

“We’ll know more about its severity after scans in the next 24-48 hours.”

The match was Elliott’s second since returning from a previous hamstring injury that was sustained against Geelong on 13 May.

He has not played senior football this season after leading the club’s goal kicking with 34 in 2017.
