Round four

Collingwood has recorded its second victory for 2010 in comprehensive fashion, booting 19 goals en route to defeating Werribee by 58-points at Avalon Airport Oval in Werribee; 19.19 (132) to 11.9 (75).

The Pies showed their intent early, but were unable to convert their dominance on the scoreboard until the second term, when they rammed on seven goals to break the game wide open.

Three of the Magpies most experienced players, forwards John Anthony, Tarkyn Lockyer and Leigh Brown, led Werribee's defenders to a merry dance, with Anthony slotting five goals. Lockyer and Brown nabbed three apiece, with Brown, in particular, setting the tone in the first half.

In the engine room, Ryan Cook (32-possessions) and Shane O'Bree (30-possessions) were outstanding, directing traffic all night. They were well served by Cameron Wood in the ruck, while rookie Tom Hunter continued to impress on a wing.

Former Demon Simon Buckley, listed as an emergency for Sunday's clash with Carlton, was rested from tonight's match.
