Senior players, including Dale Thomas, Paul Medhurst and Scott Burns, served up football skills to over 500 children from across Victoria last Saturday, 2nd August, in a McDonald’s football clinic held at Olympic Park.
In a competition run through McDonald’s restaurants throughout June, four children aged between six and 12 from each of the 190 outlets across Victoria won the chance to be coached by players from the Collingwood Magpies in the two hour clinic.
The aspiring football stars were split into seven teams and moved to different stations around the oval where they got to spend time with their AFL heroes and learn how to handball, kick and score from the best in the business, whilst their proud parents waved from the sidelines!
However the sea of black and white was overshadowed with yellow and red when Ronald McDonald himself made a special guest appearance, hoping to pick up a few tips!
