In the lead-up to the State of Origin series scheduled to commence this Wednesday at  Docklands, NSW Aussie Blues players Terry Campese, Jarryd Hayne and Ben Creagh attended the Collingwood match on the weekend.

While the NSW side and Collingwood play in different codes, both teams are united under major sponsor Aussie.

Aussie invited the three league boys to watch their first AFL match and then meet some of the Magpie stars in the rooms after the win.

Dale Thomas and Nick Maxwell, supporters of the State of Origin series, caught up with the players after the match.

NSW will take on Queensland in a three match series played in Melbourne (Docklands on June 3 2009), Sydney (ANZ Stadium on June 24 2009) and Brisbane (Suncorp Stadium on July 15 2009).

Queensland will be looking to rebound after last year’s three-nil defeat.

Tickets are still available for Wednesday night’s blockbuster and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com.au.
