Collingwood defender Harry O’Brien has thrown his support behind this year’s Melbourne City Romp and is asking all Magpie fans to join him on Sunday 21 March in a hunt around the city.

Part treasure hunt, part ‘Amazing Race’, part puzzle - the Melbourne City Romp is a charity fundraising event like no other!

The Burnet Institute’s flagship fundraising event is accessible for all - no matter what your age, gender or fitness level - so join in the fun and become a Romper!

Armed with a map, clue sheet and mobile phone, teams of 2-6 will attempt to solve challenges at Checkpoints located across Melbourne. Teams face a range of challenges involving trivia, observation, mathematics, geography, history and physical endeavours.

Up to 20,000 Rompers from across Australia are expected to take part and help support Burnet’s Romp for a Cure fundraising initiative.  All funds go directly to Burnet’s fight against The ‘Big Three’: HIV, TB and malaria, some of the world’s worst infectious diseases.

To enter the Romp go to www.cityromp.com or ring the hotline on 03-85062350.

O’Brien’s involvement with the Burnet Institute started in 2005 and has since helped spread the word about the Burnet Institute’s activities with young people in Australia, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.
