“Shawry” written by award winning playwright Neil Cole opens Wednesday 13th of July at Chapel Off Chapel.

“This is the most exciting play I have been involved  with”  Neil Cole said today. “It is a play that straddles many decades of football”

“Shawry” is about Tony Shaw who is the iconic Collingwood figure who led the Collingwood Football Club to victory in the 1990 grand Final- a victory that came after 32 years of loss and heartbreak.

“Winning the Norm Smith medal for the best player on Grand Final day and the veteran of over 300 games, he is the greatest Captain Collingwood has ever had: A small man with a big heart”.

It also features Sadie, the ubiquitous Collingwood supporter who lives and breathes the Magpies. This story is a comedy, a tragedy, a drama and a trip down memory lane. An historic play that will make you laugh and cry."

This play is written by multi award winning playwright Neil Cole, with Sean Paisley as Director and Simon Madden AFL legend as Executive Producer, starring Anthea Davies and Mike Newman.

The season runs from the 13th July to 23 July. Tickets are $38
