Three of Collingwood’s prized youngsters have re-committed to the Black and White.

Jordan De Goey, Darcy Moore and Jackson Ramsay have put pen to paper to remain at the Westpac Centre, joining the likes of Jamie Elliott and Tom Langdon as Magpies to have signed on to continue their careers under Nathan Buckley.

The club chose TAC Cup graduates De Goey and Moore with its top 10 selections in last November’s National Draft and have extended their contracts until the end of the 2018 season.

“A lot of the senior players like Jamie Elliott and Tom Langdon have also signed on so that is encouraging for the team,” De Goey told Collingwood Media’s Team Sheet.

“I just think the club is going in the right direction and I look forward to growing up with some of these younger players and trying to win premierships.”

“It’s a dream come true to be offered another two years,” Moore added.

“I’m not going anywhere so I’m really excited.”

De Goey broke through for his senior debut in the opening round and has since shown his wares in the VFL alongside Moore, until the latter injured his hamstring at Windy Hill.

For Ramsay, meanwhile, it will ensure the West Australian stays a Magpie until at least the end of the 2017 season.

It’s a fine reward for the 20-year-old’s efforts over the past two seasons.

He debuted in the penultimate round of the 2014 season and established himself as a key member of Collingwood’s young backline in the early rounds of the new season before a shin injury sidelined him last week.

“I couldn’t be happier where I am at the moment and where the team’s tracking,” he told Team Sheet.

Ramsay’s league career began when the Magpies swooped on him with the 38th selection in the 2012 National Draft.

He was the second youngest player on an AFL list the following year but quickly impressed with his professional approach to his game in 26 outings across half back in the VFL over the past two years.
