Collingwood’s VFL finals hopes have been bolstered by the addition of five AFL-listed players into its team to take on Sandringham in Sunday’s Second Semi-Final.

Darcy Moore, Ben Kennedy, Brayden Maynard, Jonathon Marsh and Matthew Scharenberg will all re-join the VFL squad after playing in the senior side against Essendon last Sunday.

While their presence will ensure that competition for spots will be at its hottest for the year, it will ensure this week’s team will be laden with senior experience.

The quintet joins the likes of Sam Dwyer, Brent Macaffer, Clinton Young, Paul Seedsman, Jarrod Witts and Patrick Karnezis in one of the strongest VFL teams the club has named in recent memory.

Collingwood overcame Sandringham in their last meeting in round twelve, when Brenden Abbott and Brodie Grundy led the side to a ten-point win in wet conditions at Victoria Park.

The VFL Magpies will enter Sunday’s match with an extra day’s break on the Zebras, who finished eight-points short against Williamstown last Sunday.

Online Coverage
Collingwood Media will be covering the match with a live radio call on and the official Collingwood smart phone app, while will be running its regular live chat during the match.
