Collingwood's Brodie Grundy and Steele Sidebottom have moved into second and third place on the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year leaderboard after outstanding performances in the win over Adelaide.

One lot of coaches went for Grundy as best on ground and Sidebottom second-best, while the other coaches did the reverse.

As a result, both players polled nine votes.

Rising Star nominee Jaidyn Stephenson and midfielders Adam Treloar and Scott Pendlebury also polled votes.

Sidebottom sits second on the leaderboard, while Grundy is third.
