In retirement, champion footballers have taken to Fox Footy’s Open Mike to tell their stories.

Stories that describe what really happened behind the scenes.

How premierships were won, and lost.

Of trade deals done and thwarted.

About the lessons learned along the way.

Collingwood’s 2010 premiership captain Nick Maxwell has never appeared on Open Mike, but that’s all about to change.

Hear from one of the Magpies’ favourite sons this Friday as he takes you inside his football journey in an Open Mike style interview with legendary football journalist Mike Sheahan during Collingwood and CGU’s Business Networking Series breakfast.

Maxwell will discuss his time as Collingwood’s captain, and of how he led the Pies to victory in the famous 2010 Grand Final Replay.

He will also touch on life outside of football, and his current role of Leadership and Cultural Manager at the club.

Maxwell and Sheahan’s Open Mike will be accompanied by entertainment from impersonator Elliot Loney, as well as a gourmet hot breakfast and networking opportunities.
