Darcy Moore has confirmed his new deal with Collingwood and can't wait to get back into action next year.

The 22-year-old key position player took to Instagram on Monday to express his delight at remaining a Magpie for the foreseeable future.

Moore also wrote on Instagram: "so bloody proud of how my teammates played this year. how good were we??!!? not being part of it when it mattered was really hard.

"my body was a meat prison this season. here's to a better 2019."

Earlier on Monday, Collingwood List manager Ned Guy spoke about Moore's contract when clubs gathered at Marvel Stadium for the opening day of the NAB AFL Trade Period.

Guy said the Magpies were "glad to get it done" after much speculation about Moore's future at the club.
