Premiership ruckman Jordan Roughead will don Collingwood’s black and white stripes in 2019 after securing a move from the Western Bulldogs.

The versatile 28 year-old joined the Magpies in exchange for a fourth-round selection in this year's national draft (currently pick 75).

His arrival gives Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley flexibility for a number of critical positions; Roughead played key back, key forward and ruck for the Bulldogs over a 138-game career that spanned nine seasons.

Roughead was an important member of the Bulldogs’ 2016 flag side, carrying the ruck for much of a campaign that famously broke one of the longest premiership droughts in the game.

Roughead is currently overseas and will join his new team-mates when the senior players of the Collingwood squad commence pre-season training in December.
