Josh Daicos
A regular emergency for the AFL team this season, Daicos has been a consistent performer in the VFL. He was solid again in the VFL Pies’ win over Footscray at the Whitten Oval on Sunday, finishing with 16 disposals, and is very much in contention to line up in Saturday night’s clash with North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.

Isaac Quaynor
Another regular on the emergency list for the AFL side, Quaynor continues to develop his craft in the VFL while edging towards making his debut at the highest level. He racked up 21 disposals, four marks and a goal in the VFL Pies’ win over the Dogs. Among the contenders to replace star defender Jeremy Howe, who will be sidelined for a short period by a calf problem.

Matt Scharenberg
Has been in great touch in the VFL since returning from a serious knee injury. Produced a brilliant display on Sunday against Footscray, finishing with 33 disposals and 16 marks. Also among the contenders to fill Jeremy Howe’s position in the backline.

Ben Crocker
A very solid performer in the VFL so so far this season, Crocker was named among the VFL Pies’ best players after their win over the Dogs. Finished with 13 disposals, four tackles and two behinds.

Max Lynch
Among the emergencies for the AFL match against the Western Bulldogs, the athletic big man pushed his case by tallying 13 disposals, 18 hit-outs and a goal in the VFL Pies’ victory over Footscray.
