Collingwood coach Jared Rivers has been forced into a raft of changes as his side looks to keep its finals hopes alive at Frankston on Sunday.

The Magpies have breathed life into their season in the last month but remain on the outside of the finals picture with five matches remaining in the season.

Injuries in the AFL and VFL teams have meant there will be at least five changes to the Pies side which lost narrowly to Williamstown last week.

Max Lynch makes his return in the ruck, alongside a host of VFL-listed players who will hope to maintain their place in the side when players return from injury.

Rugged defender Lachaln Tardew will play his 50th VFL game for the club on Sunday.

It’s Collingwood’s first trip to Frankston since the Dolphins were reintroduced to the state-league competition last season.
