With both teams first and second respectively, this game will be a hard-fought battle, the winner going into the grand final.

With only two rounds left and the top two spots up for grabs each game is a must win for the Pies, Tigers and Bombers, who are the only teams now in contention for the coveted positions.

Collingwood match up well against Richmond. The last time they met, the Pies had a 54-point lead going into the third, yet just scraped an eight-point win.

“We have learnt a lot from that game,” said captain Brendan Stroud. “And having Josh take the centre position will help us have more control in that spot than last time.”

Both teams are training hard. For the Tigers it’s a must-win as they have a bye in the last round and don’t want to rely on other matches to make the top two. The Pies want to lock in a win this week to ensure a top two finish.

Whatever the outcome, both teams will give their all for this game.

The game will be played Sunday 18th August at 12.05 at the Boroondara Sports Complex.
