Collingwood list manager Ned Guy has confirmed that defender James Aish will be traded to Fremantle on the final day of the Telstra AFL Trade Period.

Aish has played 50 games for the Magpies since joining the club from Brisbane for the 2016 season.

He is set to be exchanged for a draft pick.

"Aishy's asked for a trade to Freo, so we'll sit down with him now and see if we can work something out for him," Guy said when the clubs gathered for the final day of trading at Marvel Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

"We'll try and do the right thing by Aishy, so I'm sure we can find some middle ground and have a win-win."

Wingman Tom Phillips had been spoken about as potentially departing Collingwood, but Guy shut down the speculation.

"Tom will be playing at Collingwood next year," he said.

Matt Scharenberg had also been linked to a move away from the Holden Centre, but Guy said it was unlikely that Scharenberg would be joining another club.

Guy was also asked whether the Magpies were interested in Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins.

"No," was his answer.
