Round two of the VFL season has the Pies taking on the Bombers in the VFL rendition of the ANZAC day clash. Collingwood’s spiritual home, Victoria Park will host the match a nod to the historic significance of the match.

Coming off the back of a hard-fought 7 point victory over Werribee, the Pies return to Vic Park as the side in form. Contrastingly, Essendon fell well short of victory as they took the tough trip to Brisbane.

The Pies will welcome the return of co-captain Campbell Hustwaite, who will play his first game ini the leadership team since injuring his ankle during pre-season.

Jay Rantall will make his long awaited debut for the club after being drafted in 2019, while AFL listed players such as Mason Cox and Brayden Sier will be required to step up on Saturday. Sier returns to the VFL side in an attempt to recapture his form from last season.

Youngsters Caleb Poulter, Reef McInnes, Liam McMahon and Isaac Chugg continue to show their capabilities at VFL level.

While Max Lynch, who was dominant last weekend in the ruck, Tom Wilson and Anton Tohill push for selection in the senior side.

The team will also be supported by two VFL debutants this weekend, Youseph Dib and Dylan Thomas from the Oakleigh Chargers.

Dib is a small midfield-forward type player. He earned All-Australian honours at Under-16 level and was also able to crack into the premiership-winning Oakleigh Chargers side as a bottom-ager during the 2019 season.

Fans not able to make the trip to Victoria Park will be able to tune into a live coverage free on Kayo here.
