Our Club is built on a great history of togetherness and community. This support for each other has been in place since the Club was founded in 1892 when a group of passionate supporters decided that being “side-by-side” was an essential part of the essence, and the future of Collingwood.

Side by Side Forever has been created in recognition of Members & Supporters who, after looking after their family and loved ones, chose to leave a Gift in their Will to Collingwood Football Club. Bequests are growing as a way of supporters ensuring their own legacy and love for their Club is felt for generations to come. It is a powerful way of showing your support in the future without impacting on your finances today.

As part of the Side by Side Forever, you will receive 

  • Invitations to exclusive recognition events with guest speakers including past and present players
  • A commemorative lapel pin and commemorative apron (due to arrive early 2026)
  • Access to certain game day specials and experiences when available

You’re also welcome to let us know how you’d like your Gift to make an impact, it could be:

  1. Held in perpetuity (with only the interest used)
  2. Used at the Club’s discretion
  3. Directed toward AFL or AFLW program needs
  4. Directed towards the Club’s community work

Every Gift, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and helps ensure Collingwood Football Club continues to thrive on and off the field for generations to come.

Types of Bequests

  • Residuary

    A portion or the remainder of your estate after all expenses and nominated bequests are fulfilled.

  • Pecuniary

    A pecuniary or specific bequest is a nominated gift in the form of money, property, stock or shares.

  • Whole Estate

    A whole estate bequest is when an entire Estate is left in the absence of any other family or beneficiaries.

  • Percentage

    A percentage bequest involves leaving a specific percentage of your estate.

While there are several types of bequest clauses, the following is the most commonly used for a general bequest: 

“I give to the Collingwood Football Club Limited (ABN:89 006 211 196)

  • % of the whole of the residue of my estate, OR
  • the whole of the residue of my estate, for the benefit of OR 
  • the sum of $ to be applied for the benefit of or to the Collingwood Football Club Limited.

The receipt of an authorised officer of the Collingwood Football Club Limited will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee.”
