Darcy Moore went down clutching his knee late in the final term on Saturday night and an initial assessment has ruled out ligament damage.

Initial scans were positive and he was cleared of any major injury - his ACL, PCL and MCL are all completely fine.

He will be assessed at the backend of the week and our high performance team is hopeful he will be available to play this weekend.

While he completed pool work and gym on Monday, he will not train on Tuesday but will hopefully be on the track come Thursday.

Jeremy Howe has recovered from a gastro intestinal illness.

He completed a course of antibiotics and has been cleared by doctors to resume training. He is expected to be available for selection this week.

While he finished his game time with a goal late in Sunday's VFL match, Harvey Harrison left the field before the siren with tightness in his hamstring.

It is looking like a minor strain, about 3-4 weeks on the sidelines.

Charlie Dean could mount a convincing case for worst luck on our list at the moment - he landed awkwardly on his ankle and suffered ligament damage to the same foot he injured earlier in the season.

Scans showed a crack in his little toe.

He was up and running after his rehab but unfortunately the bone wasn't healed enough to handle that type of impact.

He will be managed conservatively and a surgeon will review his return date but it looks to be a 6-8 week injury.

Aiden Begg (thumb) is keeping the thumb locked in a brace and he has completed a lot of rehab work.

He's doing some high intensity running with Brodie, specific to the ruck position.

Will be out of the brace next week and likely available.

Brodie Grundy (knee) is completing more functional training this week, running the patterns he would in a game and including some directional movement.

On our long-term injury list, Reef McInnes (shoulder), Tom Wilson (back), Nathan Kreuger (shoulder) are biking, swimming and hitting the gym.

All looking positive for season 2023 and expected to be back at full training by day one of pre-season in November.
