Collingwood’s Nick Daicos has been selected to represent Victoria in the 2026 AAMI AFL Origin game.
Daicos will line up for the Big V alongside the likes of Marcus Bontempelli, Matt Rowell, Zak Butters and Jeremy Cameron.
The selection is another accolade to the midfielder’s name, with Daicos already having a Premiership, three All-Australians and a Copeland Trophy to his name at only 22 years old.
The youngest Daicos will follow in the footsteps of his father, Peter, who represented Victoria five times in State of Origin.
“It’s a huge honour to be selected to represent Victoria. Dad always spoke about how special it was to wear the Big V, and to now have the opportunity to do that is very exciting,” Daicos said.
“AFL Origin is something players and fans will love, and I can’t wait to get over to Perth and take on WA in front of a packed Optus Stadium with plenty of Victorians in the stands backing the Big V on the night.”
Tickets for the AAMI AFL Origin will be on sale from today for AFL and Club members at 12.00pm AEDT via Ticketmaster, followed by General Public access on Wednesday 19 November at 12.00pm AEDT.
The 2026 AAMI AFL Origin game will start at 7:40pm AEDT on Saturday 14 February at Optus Stadium, with the game to be broadcast on Channel 7 and Fox, as well as 7Plus and Kayo streaming platforms.
