A Collingwood contingent made up of the club's first-to-four year players and a team from the football department, continued the pre-season training program in a vastly different setting on Monday.

Falls Creek, located 350 kilometres by road from the Westpac Centre, is hosting the Magpies for the next five days.

The camp is conducted under the guidance of High Performance Manager Bill Davoren and senior coach Nathan Buckley.

With players and staff departing by car from the club at 5.30 AM, the convoy made a safe arrival into the picturesque mountainside town just before lunch.

The action soon commenced before the Holden engines could cool down with the playing group running out to the Rocky Valley Dam, located in the Bogong High Plains.

From there it was to the weights room where Movement and Weights Specialist Paul Marasco laid down his law for over two hours.

Collingwood Media was on hand for day one and these are the best photos.

Jamie Elliott is witnessing the 'Chris Howley Express'.  Howley is considered by many as the premier runner within the football department.

Jack Frost enjoyed the run and the strong sun, while Jonathon Marsh was slightly more weary of the conditions.

Movement and Weights Specialist Paul Marasco took the reins once the session moved inside.

A rare moment here with Corey Gault and Jamie Elliott holding up the American Mason Cox.

It was a gruelling session, as the group worked within small teams.
