Barrawarn Program
The Barrawarn Program is the heart of the Collingwood Football Club’s Indigenous partnerships, programs, activities and events.

Barrawarn is the Wurundjeri word for Magpie.

Developed through the Collingwood Football Club Foundation, the program aims to empower Indigenous Australians through employment and educational opportunities.

In Sir Doug Nicholls Round 2018, the Magpies will wear a guernsey designed by proud Taungurung man Mick Harding.

There will also be a Welcome to Country dance on the MCG pre-game, performed by the Djirri Djirri Dance Group.

Sunday is the day to bring your kids to the football.

As part of Sunday Funday promotions in 2018, kids under 15 will receive FREE general admission entry to the MCG. Please click here, or visit the ticket office on the day to claim this offer. Other activations include:

Maccas Kick 2 Kick
Bring a footy and wait for the second siren on Sunday afternoon for a chance to have a kick on the MCG with your family and friends.

Please note, Maccas Kick 2 Kick is subject to weather and ground conditions and may be cancelled at short notice.

Woolworths AFL Playground
Come test your skills, interact with your friends and most importantly have loads of fun at the Woolworth’s AFL Playground. Visit the grassed area outside Gate 6 to take part in the action.

National Sports Museum
Children under 15 receive free admission to the National Sports Museum for all Sunday games at the MCG when arriving with an adult during event mode. Adult/concession NSM tickets are also 50% off the normal price during event mode.

Pre-purchase NSM tickets when purchasing tickets to any Sunday game online or get them from the NSM counter inside Gate 3 on match day.

By car:
Predicted bad weather may prevent the MCG public car parks from opening on Sunday. Please CLICK HERE for updated parking schedules and gate opening times.

MCG shuttle service:
An eight-week trial of a shuttle service for mobility-impaired patrons from Richmond Station to the MCG concourse has commenced at the iconic sport stadium.

Three buggies, each capable of transporting five guests, will run the service from at least 60 minutes prior to the first bounce.  It will also be available for 30 minutes after the final siren for return trips.

After disembarking a train at Richmond Station, footy fans exiting the platform onto Brunton Avenue need to simply cross to the buggy shuttle area – located on the Yarra Park side of the roadway.

By public transport:
CLICK HERE to plan your trip to the MCG using Melbourne's public transport network.

Please note, rail and road construction projects may impact some public transport services. Visit the PTV website linked above to find out how your journey may be affected.

At the ground:
- Arrive early: Security measures such as wanding and bag checks will have an impact on the time taken to admit patrons to enter the stadium. Please allow extra time and don't leave your arrival until the last minute.
- Be patient: Security inspections take time, so please understand it will take a little longer to move people into the stadium.
- Limit the number of bags you bring: Each bag will be inspected, so the more you bring the longer it will take.
