Collingwood's youngest players have sweated it out on day one of preseason training at the Holden Centre.

Players with one to four years of experience took part in a guelling two kilometre time trial, before getting their hands on the sherrins for the first time.

The session, which took place in 34-degree heat, marked the first official Collingwood training session for four young Magpies.

Adam Treloar (Greater Western Sydney), James Aish (Brisbane), Tim Golds (GWS) and Darrean Wyatt (college basketball) were put through varying workloads in their first session in black and white.
