Collingwood and Port Adelaide will pay tribute to the late John McCarthy when the two teams meet on Saturday evening.

Three of ‘J-Mac’s closest friends from both clubs will toss the coin before the match. Brent Macaffer, Nathan Brown and Jarryd Blair will toss the coin on Collingwood’s behalf and Travis Boak, Brad Ebert and Hamish Hartlett will represent the Power.

Both clubs will also run through a joint banner together prior to the game.

The match will be the first between the two clubs since the much-loved McCarthy’s passing in September last year.

He played 18 games for Collingwood between 2008 and 2011 and a further 21 for Port Adelaide in 2012.
