With the first NAB Cup match only 10 days away, Collingwood continued to ramp up its preparation with a two hour training session at Gosch’s Paddock.

Full ground match practice was the order of the day, with the senior players displaying strong leadership in barking instructions at their teammates as they focused on transferring the ball from end to end.

One of the highlights was the work of key defenders Ben Reid and Nathan Brown, who are both on the comeback trail from injury. Reid (shoulder) and Brown (knee) trained well, with Reid taking part in contact drills and playing as if he hadn’t missed a beat.

Lachlan Keeffe showed promise, and Paul Seedsman and Tom Young continued their strong summers.

The Magpies now have just over one week before their NAB Cup premiership defence begins in Blacktown when they take on the Western Bulldogs and Greater Western Sydney.
