To cap off CTV’s top five series, we’ve nominated five moments that didn’t necessarily make the highlight reels during the season but witnessed Collingwood players putting their bodies on the line for the betterment of the team.

From a bone-jarring collision to players going back with the flight of the ball (and even an accidental tug of the hair!), CTV’s top five one percenters cover some of 2013’s gutsiest moments.

CTV’s Top 5 One Percenters of 2013
1. Ben Reid

Kept his eyes on the Sherrin and was caught unawares by a Lindsay Thomas hip and shoulder in the first game of the year.

2. Marty Clarke
Ran back with the flight of the ball to spoil Carlton’s Kade Simpson and prevent a certain goal in round two.

3. Brodie Grundy
Ran back with the flight and leap to collect a ball cleanly in a pack of several players in the first minute of his league career against Greater Western Sydney.

4. Harry O’Brien
A Josh Thomas kick went over his head, putting him on the back foot inside 50. He was wrapped up by Melbourne’s Colin Sylvia on the boundary line and inadvertently had his hair pulled in the process.

5. Luke Ball
Conceded an unlucky free kick to West Coast’s Jamie Cripps but quickly won back possession with a full-length dive to smother Chris Masten’s kick.
