No. 35 - Matthew Scharenberg

As is now tradition, Matthew Scharenberg, Collingwood's first selection in the 2013 National Draft, will wear the No. 35 in his first season. He follows in the footsteps of Alex Fasolo, Jamie Elliott and Brodie Grundy who have worn the jumper in the years following the retirement of Simon Prestigiacomo. The new tradition began at the end of 2010 and was explained by then-Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse, who said "that player will hold that jumper for twelve months and understand the history of it and the responsibility of teamsmanship and professionalism displayed by Simon." Before Prestigiacomo, the legendary Peter Daicos wore the number in 250 games between 1979 and 1993.

No. 39 - Nathan Freeman

The hard-running Freeman will assume the No. 39 worn by Heath Shaw in 173 games between 2004 and 2013 (debuting in 2005). The number was originally worn by future Brownlow Medallist Marcus Whelan in his first season at Victoria Park in 1933. Those to wear No. 39 prior to Shaw included Matthew Lokan, James Podsiadly and Scott Crow.

No. 41 - Tom Langdon

Tom Langdon has inherited the No. 41 jumper worn by Sam Dwyer in his sensational debut season. In recent times, the number has been worn by Daniel Farmer, Simon Buckley and Kevin Days. It was also worn by Alan Toovey in his first season on the rookie list back in 2006.

No. 46 - Jonathon Marsh

The tall West Australian will wear the number that served Marley Williams so well in his first two seasons at the club. Prior to Williams, No. 46 was worn by players such as Tristan Francis and Frankie Raso.
