On hard fought wins

Collingwood has recorded 10 wins in a row, with nine consecutive victories decided by less than 12 points for the first time in V/AFL history.

"You'd love to be winning by more."

"I just said to the playing group then, we're doing a lot right.

"We probably did enough to warrant a scoreboard that looked different... but anyway, we got the win."

Finals spot secured

"We had a moment to smell the roses (immediately after the game)."

"We've qualified for the finals and we haven't really spoken about (finals) until now, half an hour ago.

"It's not that we will rest and smell the roses for too long but now that we've qualified, there's a sense of 'let's get busy.'

"To say we're in a position we thought we might be in at the beginning of the year... I don't think that's true."

Injuries to Adams, Howe

Taylor Adams was subbed out of the game before half time and Jeremy Howe spent the last half of the final term on the bench.

"Tay will get scans, it's a groin injury of some sort."

"Howey had a knee in the backside and just couldn't function, he should be okay."

Grundy VFL return

"By all reports he was playing better as the game went on."

"I watched two quarters and I was happy - we will see how he pulls up in six days time."

"I said no originally (to playing Cox, Cameron and Grundy in the same side) on the back of Checkers (Mihocek) being available... we're anticipating he will be alright next week, so I don't think we will play all three."

On the next three weeks

"In six days we face Melbourne - we live in the moment now, look at what we did well and what we can improve on."

"We get back to work and nothing changes, we just keep trying to get better.

"Every game is an opportunity to get ready for finals, all the teams we face are inside the top eight, so it's an incredible opportunity to see where we sit."
