Tonight’s twilight intra-club clash at the Holden Centre will take the form of Collingwood Black vs Collingwood Grey.

43 players will take the field at 6pm, with Brenton Sanderson leading the Black team and new VFL coach Jared Rivers in charge of team Grey.

18-per-team will take the field, with tantalising individual clashes set to include Scott Pendlebury v Adam Treloar in the midfield and Brodie Grundy v Mason Cox in the ruck.

2016 draftee Josh Daicos will start for the Black team, while his teammates will include fellow new faces Lynden Dunn, Chris Mayne and Henry Schade.

As announced on Tuesday, new recruit Daniel Wells will take part in the intra-club clash, but will have to wait until the second quarter to take the field.

Matthew Scharenberg will return from his knee reconstruction to play for Collingwood Grey, while fellow returnees Jackson Ramsay and Jamie Elliott will line up on the other side of the field.  

In addition to 32 senior players, 10 VFL Magpies will be given the chance to hone their skills with the main team.

Included in Rivers’ Grey team are the likes of Ryan Pendlebury, Nick Gray and Ash Close, as well as VFL recruits Stephen Tahana, Michael Chippendale and Kye Beveridge.

The first bounce of the intra-club clash is scheduled for 6.10pm. Off-field activities at the Holden Centre include food trucks, outdoor bars, kid’s activities and giveaways and start from 5pm.

For those who can’t attend, Collingwood Media will be live-streaming the game from 6pm. Commentary from Peter Marcato and Nigel Carmody will be accompanied by special guests including Geoff Walsh, Ben Reid, Sam McLarty and Emma King.
