Taylor Adams
The star midfielder hasn't played in the AFL since suffering a groin injury against Port Adelaide in round seven, but he returned to action in the VFL on the weekend and collected 16 possessions, laid eight tackles and kicked a goal in the Pies' loss to Williamstown. Will return to the AFL side for Saturday's twilight clash with Greater Western Sydney providing he gets through training.

Jeremy Howe
Has been sidelined since suffering a calf injury against the Western Bulldogs in round 14 but has been working hard on the track and in the gym. Like Adams, will get the OK to take on the Giants on Saturday if he gets through training.

Tyson Goldsack
The veteran defender's last appearance in the AFL team came in last year's Grand Final loss to West Coast, but he has been excelling in defence in the VFL in recent weeks. Was among the VFL Pies' best players in their narrow loss to Williamstown on Saturday, finishing with 21 disposals and six tackles.

Matt Scharenberg
Was omitted from the AFL side last week and rebounded in great fashion in the VFL, finishing as the Pies' best player against Williamstown after racking up 16 disposals and eight marks down back.

Tyler Brown
Was the carryover emergency for the AFL game against West Coast in Perth. Flew home with the rest of the team on the overnight 'redeye' flight after the match, then suited up in the VFL side a few hours later. Finished with 16 disposals and four tackles in an impressive show of resilience.

Josh Daicos
Like Scharenberg, was omitted from the AFL side last week but knuckled down and produced a solid performance in the VFL, tallying 17 disposals and six tackles.

Josh Thomas
Lined up in the VFL for the first time this season after being left out of the AFL side. Gathered 11 disposals and laid four tackles.
