Collingwood have confirmed its VFL coaches for the upcoming season, with a Premiership Pie and VFL Life Member joining the assistant coaching ranks.

Former Collingwood player Matthew Lokan returned to the KGM Centre in October last year, taking the reigns as VFL Senior Coach and AFL Development Coach.

Lokan will be joined by fellow development coaches Chloe McMillan, who will continue her role overseeing Collingwood’s midfield in the VFL, and 2023 Premiership defender Nathan Murphy, who has joined Collingwood’s VFL program as a backline assistant coach.

Murphy, who retired after Collingwood’s 2023 Grand Final triumph, officially rejoined the Pies’ as a Development Coach this season.

Rounding out the assistant coaches is VFL Life Member Tom Wilson, who will look after the forwards.

Wilson, who also serves the Head of Development and Midfield Assistant Coach in Collingwood’s AFLW side, retired from the Pies’ VFL list at the end of last season after playing 176 games at the level.

The quartet will be supported by development coaches Marc Sophoulis, Euan Jackson and Collingwood Hall of Famer Gavin Crosisca.

Collingwood’s VFL season officially kicks off when they face GWS on Friday 27 March at 3pm AEDT at the KGM Centre.
